I just woke up. I slept 8 hours in a row. It's a good feeling.
I was so tired last night I kept forgetting my partner's name. It's not like he's that new, we've talked before. The shift was interesting, a big change from days.... we ran one call, got food for comm, watched youtube with the dispatchers for a bit, went back out to post and read books and went online, took a three hour nap, and got to go in to the station early. One of the medics had some statistic about how we are now working at the "acceptable" level, where we're more slow than busy, and we're less likely to burn out.
I'm going to need more books.
My partner said some people from his class go with him to climbing gyms two or three times a week, and invited me along. He used to teach at an adventure camp for little kids and is teaching one of the girls how to climb, everyone else already knows. He told me not to spend money on lessons at REI because he can teach me. Sweet!
